The Utilities District of Western Indiana REMC and Mainstream Fiber Networks will begin building the infrastructure needed to serve the cooperative’s members with high-speed fiber-optic connectivity starting this month.
UDWI REMC Community Fund Grant Brings Rwandan Genocide Survivor to Shakamak High School
Shakamak High School hosted a special student assembly featuring Rwandan genocide survivor Kizito Kalima on Oct. 7 in Jasonville. The event was made possible with the help of an $800 grant from the UDWI REMC Community Fund, Inc. program.

Is there anything better than watching football on Fridays? Today, tune in to the IHSAA Football State Championships for 2A, in which Adams Central will face off against Linton-Stockton at 11 am in Lucas Oil Stadium.
One of the players for the Linton-Stockton Miners is defensive tackle Aidan Sparks— son to one of our outstanding UDWI REMC employees! As a player for the Linton Miners, he has been a part of a successful 2024 season thus far, going 12-2 on the year leading up to today's game. We wish him and the Miners good luck at this morning's championship game. Go Miners!

METER TESTING CONTINUES...
UDWI REMC meter technicians are performing routine meter tests in our entire service territory and will continue over the next few years.
~They are currently in the Guthrie and Judah areas.~
They will remain there for the next few months. The technicians will test the meters for accuracy as well as perform a visual inspection of our equipment for overall safety.
Each employee will be driving a white utility van with our logo placard. Be sure to identify these items before approaching any vehicle that may be in your area. Report suspicious behavior to your local law enforcement office. And feel free to call our office for verification.
